Currently, Second Mile assists over 5,000 people in Fort Bend County a month. These people are our neighbors and our friends.
To help meet the needs of this many people, Second Mile receives over 700,000 pounds of donated goods a year - that's over 350 tons of goods to sort and organize.
Our food distribution is the largest in the county - over 75,000 pounds of food was distributed just last month.
Our core current areas of service include a food pantry, a clothing room, household goods and furniture and financial assistance. Second Mile also sponsors special events throughout the year such as Mother's Day gifts, an Easter Store, Summer Camp, Back to School Supplies, Thanksgiving Meals and a Christmas Store.
Second Mile's Community Medical Clinic operates the second Saturday of each month. The clinic is staffed by volunteer doctors and nurses and is the only free clinic in the county for both adults and children.
